The joy of being dog
Falling into the joy of being dog I feel all my judgments and expectations, all my fear and anger all my shame and blame fall away I take my human collar off release my inhibitions i let go I am dog A simple, pure expression of joy As simple as a ball or toy I play. I love. I am grateful for… A warm bed, a bowl of water, a meal A pat on the head, A kiss A snuggle in the grass, a nap A bark at the moon, a walk in the sun A splash in the water. A shady tree I love to listen to the song of birds And the symphony of crickets I delight in my master’s voice I am enchanted by a world of sight, sound and smell But my people are always busy running around Chasing their tails If they could only sit and stay Scratch my belly I would shower them with kisses I love Therefore I am Dog. by Dina Capitani, Sept 4, 2012 |
